Vintages In Burgundy: What a Difference a Year Makes - Elisa Weber-Saintin
$29.00

A great deal of skill and even some luck factor into the growing of great wine grapes. A proper level of acidity, fruit maturity, and tannin is crucial, so you can imagine how sensitive winemakers are to weather. That said, your evolution as a wine drinker includes the willingness to appreciate and even love wines from both good growing years and bad. Burgundy's thousand-plus year history of grape growing, quirky weather, and superb winemakers make it an ideal place to study how dramatically wine from the same exact piece of dirt can change from year to year. And, if you love Pinot Noir and minerally Chardonnay, it's always wise to go back to the birthing grounds of those majestic grapes. In this tasting, Elisa will lead you through a tasting of two white Burgundy's and several reds each showcasing weather influences. Elisa Weber-Saintin is a sales manager for Little Guy Wine Company, an importer of fine wines from around the world.
