Chile's Shockingly Good Syrah and Pinot Noir - Bob Paulinski
$29.00

Wine has been made in Chile since 1551. And while most of us are aware of the cheap Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Chardonnay made down on the western slopes of the Andes, in regions like Chile's Casablanca Valley and nearby San Antonio Valley, a handful of transplanted California winemakers are pushing the limits with Syrah and Pinot Noir. The soil is decomposed granite and the ever present sun is intense. Unlike American Pinot Noir and Australian Shiraz, the resulting wines are more European-like; elegant and fine boned. Join Bob Paulinski in this very special tasting of very hard to find world class wine. Master of Wine, Bob Paulinski is the former national wine and spirits buyer for Sam's Club, and, most importantly, a Traverse City wine shop owner and resident.
